Lisa’s background includes 30+ years of middle school, high school, and college teaching, 21 years of online curriculum design/teaching, and 25 years of research, analysis, technical writing/editing as well as copywriting/editing experience. Since 2005, Lisa has been the Managing Editor of Neuroradiology, a Springer Nature medical journal, liaising with the Editor-in-Chief, section editors, authors, and the publishing house, overseeing the print/online production workflow, article editing, guaranteeing smooth running of the publication, while running the ethics and attribution/copyright processes. In addition to a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Master’s in Creative Writing, Lisa holds an Educational Specialist degree in Special Education (WA State SPED Endorsement), and a PhD in Literature. Certifications as a QM Master Peer Reviewer (qualitymatters.org), QM Peer Reviewer, QM Higher Education/K-12 Reviewer, and QM K-12 Publisher Reviewer, a national online curriculum design rubric, and as a CMP (Certified Marketing Professional) offer unique insight into multiple educational platforms. Kati’s background includes 20+ years leading and/or performing global contracts drafting, review, negotiation and management, drafting change orders, defending claims, strategic procurement of materials and services, cradle-to-grave RFX (including scope development), developing risk mitigation strategies, managing vendors/suppliers, leading trade compliance, acquiring materials and services, managing budgets, project and change management, and implementing business systems as well as writing and editing a wide range of technical and non-technical manuals, guides, work process documents, and marketing materials. Kati is a dedicated business improvement leader who ensures alignment of organizational goals with achievement of corporate objectives and departmental compliance with company policies and procedures.
